The payer gateway can support standard HIPAA ANSI based transactions (837, 835, 270/271, etc.) as well as industry standard protocols (FTP, VPN, HTTPS, AS2, SOAP, etc.). The gateway can also be utilized to translate proprietary back end system formats into standard transactions and assist in the migration to new industry compliance requirements (5010 and ICD-10).
